Kindle (10th Gen), 6" Display with Built-in Light, WiFi (Black)
A Kindle is a tiny, hand-held electronic gadget designed by online retailer Amazon for reading books.
Instead
of downloading music onto an iPod or MP3 player, you download books
(through wireless technology) onto a Kindle and use it to read them.
The Paperwhite, the most recent model, has a touchscreen as of March 2022.
The
Kindle Fire, and later the Kindle Fire HD, were released in the
beginning of 2012. They were built on the Android operating system and
had more capability than earlier Kindle models.
It has a colour
screen and basic capabilities including the capacity to stream music and
video in addition to continuing to function as an e-reader.
It contains a six-inch screen for reading, as well as a tiny keypad for performing online searches and other rather basic web-related tasks.
Most people download books onto their Kindles using a wifi connection.
But more recent, more expensive models use 4G mobile phone technology, allowing you to download books wherever you are.
With either version, you may download books to a PC or Mac and then use a USB cord to transfer them to the Kindle.
