R. MADHAVAN AND ANUSHKA SHETTY'S NEW MOVIE NISHABDHAM RELEASED ON AMAZON PRIME VIDEOS ON 2nd OCTOBER 2020
R. Madhavans and Anushka Shetty's film NISHABDHAM which was to hit the screens in April has now released on Amazon Prime Videos on October 2.
The film's digital release was confirmed by director Hemanth Madhukar. The director said that they had tried to hold out the release of the film for a long time now but can longer do that as there is not clarity on when the theatres will reopen. He said that it is very difficult to see a project they worked on for more than two years get a digital release, but this is the best they can do in the prevailing situation.
NISHABDHAM is the first tri-lingual film, releasing in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam coming directly on OTT platform, Amazon Prime Video and the makers are really excited as this opens a big door of opportunity for big multi-lingual films.
A news source close to the production shares, “The team has been extremely happy with the kind of response the trailer has received. The dynamics of film-viewing have changed and so to empower more regional viewers, NISHABDHAM is the first tri-lingual film which is directly releasing on OTT. The makers feel this would make each individual in the distance towns of the country feel empowered, when they see it as part of mainstream cinema platforms. We are all looking forward to greater opportunities and the release.
